Mr Antcliff’s Kitchen Refurbishment

This customer wanted to keep his old kitchen, but give it a new lease of life.  He asked for our advice on how to go about it.   He wanted to sell his house, but was advised by the agent that his old 1980’s pine kitchen was putting off potential customers.

We advised the customer to use a simple but popular ‘Shaker’ style door with plain drawer fronts which would give a clean and unfussy look. His kitchen was given new lease of life by making new Shaker style doors, drawer fronts, end panels, new side panels, plinths and top cornice mouldings. The traditional chimney breast was improved by getting rid of the frieze and fitting a plain panel.

The old kitchen has been transformed with new cabinetry, a lick of paint in a pastel colour and new brushed nickel handles.

we prepared the old cabinets with a primer coat, removing the old parts which would be replaced with new cabinetry, which you can see below.

Then we began to fit the new cabinetry:
